Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI--5.6, 0.8; EcoRI--5.6, 0.8, 0.5; HindIII--6.8; BamHI/ClaI--3.3, 2.3, 1.25; BamHI--6.8; ClaI--3.6, 3.2. This clone expresses an antigen specific for the 183K protein of tobacco mosaic virus. A fragment containing the 183K gene (nt 3572 to approx. 4700) of pTMV204 was ligated into pUR278. |
