Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--17.0, 15.0, 7.0, 5.8, 3.8, 2.1, 1.6, 0.6; HindIII--23.0, 12.0, 7.0, 6.0, 2.1; KpnI--17.0 (doublet), 7.4, 3.5, 3.4, 1.5; PstI--16.0, 10.0, 5.0, 2.7, 2.5, 2.0 (doublet), 1.7, 1.3, 1.1 + smaller. The insert contains a KpnI site 1308 bp from the 5' HindIII site. The complete gene is contained in a 5.4 kb HindIII/BamHI fragment. Contains an Alu repeat sequence in intron III, extending from 1801 to 2127 bp from the 5' HindIII site (at nt 1). |
