The Tn5-B.t. gene segment (which conveys kanR) from pMAP29 was integrated into the host chromosome by mating E. coli HB101 containing pMAP29 with P. fluorescens 112-12.
This strain is resistant to 100 mcg/ml rifampicin and 100 mcg/ml nalidixic acid.
Strain that proliferates in a plant environment to an extent sufficient to express at least 0.5 ng of insecticidally active protein per each insect to be controlled.
