Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--6.2, 2.7; BglI--4.2, 1.9, 1.5, 1.1, 0.3; EcoRI--9.3; HindIII--5.6, 2.5, 0.9; PvuII--4.2, 2.4 (doublet). Derived from a cosmid containing the gene. The fragment is 8 to 9 kb 5' to exon 1. The insert also contains sequences from the BamHI site of the cosmid vector pTL5. |
