The vial labeled 95-02A corresponds to Cen Bank A and the vial labeled 95-02B corresponds to Cen Bank B.
Resuspend in a small amount of broth and plate for single colonies to avoid fast growing clones taking over the culture.
For Cen Bank A, the insert range is 10-15 kb, the number of clones for coverage is 8900, and number of independent recombinants is 8.9x103. There are 10% non-recombinants.
For Cen Bank B, the insert range is 15-20 kb, the number of clones for coverage is 9500, and the number of independent recombinants is 9.5x103. There are 10% non-recombinants.
The titer of Cen Bank A is about 1.5 x 109 cfu/mL and the titer of Cen Bank B is about 2.0 x 108 cfu/mL. The library has been amplified once by the ATCC.
