Customers must use Nutrient broth to initiate this culture rather than Tryptic Soy. This strain does not grow on TSB (although many other E. coli will). The medium used successfully in our labs is Becton Dickinson Nutrient Broth (catalog number 234000) and Nutrient Agar (catalog number 213000).
